Marina McLune’s A Visit To Stoneybrook now on Audible

Marina McLune’s second Sussex-set novel, A Visit To Stoneybrook, is now available on Audible and all your favourite audiobook platforms.

Set in the same world as its predecessor, A Year At Marshywood, the book nevertheless stands alone, rather than being a sequel.  In it, McLune stretches her narrative muscles and writes a deeper and more multi-layered story – but retains all the charming cultural and musical references to the 1980s that made Marshywood such fun to listen to.

And like A Year At Marshywood, A Visit To Stoneybrook is unashamedly tender, romantic, and hopeful.

Landen Park Studio – Five Years

Today is our fifth birthday!  At 10am on August 12th 2020, in the midst of COVID-19, we kicked off our first booked recording session at Landen Park Studio.  It was actually a vocal recording for a song, performed by the inimitable Ian Hoare for client Pip Burley – ironic, since the studio was built to specialise in audiobooks, voiceover and ADR/dubbing, which is what we’ve mostly done ever since.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TO ALL OUR CLIENTS, ARTISTS, SUPPORTERS AND FRIENDS!  We wouldn’t be here without you…

Landen Park Studio - Since 2020

I remember that on that first day, the studio was barely finished.  There was exposed rockwool in the booth, no flooring in the corridors, cables hanging out everywhere – it was a mess.

But the studio has been busy ever since (and is mostly decorated now!) and the last five years have flown by.

Here’s to the next five years!

Steve D. Wall’s The Sound Of Change is now on Audible

Pentark production – Starting Soon

Update: Pentark is now completed and published.  See this more recent post.

At the beginning of August, we’ll be starting work on T. L. Brechin’s debut novel Pentark.  Multi award-winning narrator and Landen Park Studio regular Rosalyn Landor will be narrating.

Pentark is a sword-and-sorcery fantasy set on the Isle Of Spheres, where a disparate group of characters including dwarves, elves, knights and animals must come together to restore lost magical stones to the Pentark, defeating the forces of darkness and restoring balance to the land.

Award-winning film composer Michael Vickerage has written an original score to accompany the audiobook.  Vickerage last worked with us two years ago – on Kerry Lynne’s Pirate Captain, which was edited, mixed and post-produced here at Landen Park Studio.

Producer Justin Hill will be at the helm.  Pentark will be published and distributed by The Other Operation.

Two More Books with Steven Pacey

We’ve just finished another two audiobooks with one of our favourite narrators – Steven Pacey.

The first, The Sound Of Change by Steve D. Wall, is a sequel to his highly successful debut The Way Of Renegades – also produced here at Landen Park Studio.

The second is Artificial Wisdom by Thomas R. Weaver.  We produced this in its original form in 2023 but subsequently Thomas sold the rights to Penguin Random House, who asked us to produce a revised version for them.

Both these books will be appearing on your favourite audiobook platform in the next couple of months.  We love working with Steven: his wonderful voice, incredible acting, hilarious impressions – and most of all, the gardening tips!
